Dean Spencer Evans passed away on March 27, 2012 at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness. Dean was born on December 16, 1936 to Dean S. Evans Sr. and Lillian F. Evans in Thermopolis, WY. Cherae Krueger lived a happy life. She was born on June 15 1977 in Ephrata, WA. She was raised by 2 great parents Judith and Charles Clark in Moses Lake, WA and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1995. Cherae went to Eastern Washington University for college. She was married to her husband (Myron Krueger) on July 12 1997. They became best of friends through their marriage. On October 30, 2000 they welcomed an amazing daughter into their lives. The Fishin' Magician: Steelhead season
After some serious number crunching and arm twisting steelhead seasons have reopened on the Wenatchee, Icicle and Methow rivers. Fish managers were eager to get these streams opened to remove excess hatchery-reared steelhead and increase the ability of wild fish to spawn. All of these rivers are selective fisheries, no bait, and the daily limit of hatchery-reared steelhead is two per day. All steelhead with an adipose fin must be immediately released without being removed from the water.

Jake-George Jacob Geisinger, Jr. passed away at his home in Moses Lake, WA on Friday March 2, 2012, after Lung Cancer Surgery. He was 67 years old, born in New Jersey where he graduated from Bridgeton High and attended Goldy Beacon College. Jake moved to Montana where he resided for many years. He was an avid horse-lover, raised Quarter Horses and ran horse shows. He moved to Moses Lake in 2001. Jake loved being outdoors, gardening, golfing, boating, being retired and playing pool at the Eagles with friends. Jake is survived by his wife Ann whom he married September 2010. Also a sister Mary Louise and husband Tom Lazarozyk, 3 adult children: Jay Geisinger, Kimberly Hale, Christine Dean and 4 grandchildren. A celebration of Jake's life will be held at the end of March at his home in Moses Lake. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, P.O. A few years' later brother Harry and wife Evelyn became part of the farming business. The first few winters Ralph and Bertha spent in Abbottsford, BC as the house in Nobleford was not suitable for the cold Alberta winters.

Anglers that look forward to the spring perch fishing at Moses Lake will have to wait a bit longer. The ice is pretty much gone from the lake, but the bite in the vicinity of the I-90 Bridge has yet to develop. No crowds of anglers can be seen in this popular fishing location, but I will stay on top of it to see if it happens this year.
