MOSES LAKE - Big Bend Community College wants public input as it searches for a new president.

Big Bend President Bill Bonaudi retires June 30 after 17 years at the college.

Big Bend's Board of Trustees invites the public to complete an online survey at www.bigbend.edu. On the college's home page, click the button marked "BBCC Presidential Search Survey."

All responses are kept confidential.

People can view presidential search materials on Big Bend's website and provide input to the board during upcoming discussions and interviews. Information provided to candidates on Big Bend's website will be available to the public, including minimum qualifications, desirable characteristics, the selection process, and information about the service district.

"The Trustees want input from every community in the college's service district," said Board Chair Mike Wren, of Ephrata. "Technology gives us the opportunity to get more people involved in the process, and provides people with more information in less time than in the past."

Applications for the position must be received by April 6 to ensure consideration. Trustees want the new president to start work by September 1.
