Louis Lynn Barbour

Louis Lynn Barbour was born December 17, 1932, in Johnston County, North Carolina and passed away at his home in Moses Lake on May 1, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was 91.

Louis served in the United States Air Force for more than 20 years. After his long military career, he retired in 1972 to Tacoma, Washington. In 1974 he moved his family to Moses Lake, Washington where he worked as a boat mechanic until he retired for good in 1987.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Thelma Ruth Barbour; daughters, Cathy (Chris) Voss, Diane (Todd) Reindl; stepdaughter, Patricia Page; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. 

In heaven welcoming him to the family campfire is his first wife of 40 years, Geoline Barbour; daughters, Debra Tyree, and Wanda Cottam; brothers, Graham and Curtis Barbour and sister Patricia Stewart.

He was the pillar of our family, was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. 

A graveside service will be held on May 11, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Pioneer Memorial Gardens in Moses Lake, Washington.
