Ephrata PD

March 28

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision in the 200 block of Nat Washington Way.

March 29

Report of merchandise valued at approximately $400 stolen from a business in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way.

Report of a vehicle, possibly stolen, recovered at Industrial Street and East Division Avenue. Vehicle had been festooned with silly string and had confetti inside.

March 30

Report of a burglary, Suspect had forced entry to a residence and also into an attached garage. Nothing was stolen but a safe, which was empty, had been pried off its bolts.

Report of a vehicle theft in the 10 block of G Street Southeast. Vehicle was on the owner’s property and had no motor.

March 31

Report of a two-vehicle collision on Seventh Avenue Southeast. Two neighbors were backing out of their driveways at the same time and collided in the middle of the street.

April 1

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at Alder Street and Second Avenue Northwest. Driver 1 was working on the engine and started it from the engine compartment, not realizing it was in gear. Vehicle 1 started rolling. Driver 1 jumped in and applied the brakes but it still struck vehicle 2.

Report of 25-30 concrete foundation blocks stolen in the 300 block of A Street Southeast.

Hector Ahumada Perez, 28, Moses Lake, booked on possession of stolen property and violation of a no-contact order, as well as a Grant County District Court warrant.

March 29

James Eugene Bortz, 55, Moses Lake, booked on a protection order violation.

Kamron Joseph Brown, 31, Ephrata, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.

Melo Enrique Martinez, 25, Moses Lake, booked on a Grant County Superior Court warrant relating to second-degree burglary, first- and second-degree theft, second-degree malicious mischief and first-degree trafficking in stolen property.

Raymond Jacob Sicking, 33, Grand Coulee, booked on DUI.

March 30

Michael Scott Comerford, 31, Ephrata, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and interfering with reporting domestic violence.

Miguel Rodriguez Bautista, 40, Mattawa, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and second-degree malicious mischief – domestic violence.

Floyd Young, 46, Moses Lake, booked on a protection order violation.

April 3

Ismael Damian Alvarez, 32, Othello, booked on second-degree burglary and third-degree theft.

Jacquelyn Stewart, 34, Yakima, booked on a Yakima County warrant relating to theft of a motor vehicle.

Gerardo Castaneda, 26, Moses Lake, booked on first-degree burglary – domestic violence.

Robert Kenneth Vone, 57, Moses Lake, booked on second-degree criminal trespass and fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.

March 28

Report of an overdose in Civic Center Park. Female subject was able to recover and walk away after declining assistance from medics.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at West Broadway Avenue and West Lee Street. Vehicle 1 slowed down for traffic and was rear-ended by vehicle 2.

Report of gas stolen from rental tucks at a business in the 900 block of East Broadway Avenue.

March 30

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at West Nelson Road and South Division Street. 

Report of clothing stolen from a business in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way.

Report of theft from a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road. Merchandise valued at approximately $391, including a bicycle, was taken.

Report of construction equipment damaged in the 2600 block of West Marina Drive.

March 31

Report of a bomb threat at a business in the 8700 block of Randolph Road Northeast. Unknown male called and said a former employee had hidden a device on the property after his termination. The property was searched and no bomb was found.

Report of a single-vehicle collision with a tree in the 900 block of South Division Street. Juvenile driver was processed for DUI.

Report of a sandwich stolen from a business in the 600 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of a garage broken into on South Ashcroft Place. A large speaker and several mechanic’s tool sets were stolen.

April 1

Report of a large industrial auger valued at $3,000-$4,000 stolen from a job site on Newell Street.

Report of a motorcycle stolen on North Central Drive.

April 2

Report of two subjects stuffing items into their pockets and leaving a business in the 600 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision in the 1200 block of South Pioneer Way. One vehicle sustained damage to the right front corner panel.

Report of twine and thread stolen from a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of a vacation rental home on West Concord Avenue with its back door kicked in and the bedrooms tossed. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Report of two cell phones stolen at McCosh Park.

Report of theft from a business in the 500 block of South Pioneer Way. The suspect was contacted and returned the items.

April 3

Report of damage to a vehicle on South Grand Drive. Two ricks had been thrown at the vehicle, causing significant damage to the windshield and the driver’s side window.

Report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in a parking lot in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way. Driver backed into a female subject, who said she was OK but complained of leg pain after she got into the building. She declined medical attention due to time constraints. Police attempted to contact the driver, but he was not home.

Report of a male subject overdosing in a vehicle at Civic Center Park. Subject was evaluated my medics.

Report of medication stolen out of a vehicle.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at the intersection of South Alder Street and East Third Avenue.

Report of theft at a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of a doll found in Lakeview Park with blood on it and missing an arm. Law enforcement determined the blood was fake.

Report of a counterfeit $100 bill passed at a business in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way.
