Othello roundabout construction rescheduled
Cars turn left in two directions at the intersection of SR 17 and Cunningham Road at Othello Monday. A Washington State Department of Transportation project to build a roundabout at the intersection has been pushed back to 2024.

Construction of the proposed roundabout at the intersection of State Route 17 and Cunningham Road has been delayed. The image above shows the current configuration of the busy intersection. Washington Department of Transportation officials say that there are fewer fatalities at roundabouts, which is why they’ve been the choice for certain busy intersections in recent years.
OTHELLO — Construction of a roundabout at Cunningham Road and State Route 17 in Othello, originally scheduled for 2023, has been delayed to 2024 or 2025.
