The Podium to host Big Sky indoor championships

FARMINGTON, Utah – The Big Sky Conference announced last week that the 2024 Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held at The Podium Powered by STCU in Spokane, in collaboration with Spokane Sports and Eastern Washington University.

"Elevating the championship experience we provide our student-athletes is our top goal at the Big Sky, and bringing our Indoor Track & Field Championships to The Podium will accomplish exactly that," Big Sky Commissioner Tom Wistrcill said in the release. "We're thrilled to partner with Spokane Sports and Eastern Washington to make this possible and can't wait to see the personal records that our competitors will earn while competing for individual and team Big Sky championships at this world-class facility."

EWU is the host institution for the championship meet, though this will be the first time the Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Championships are held at a neutral site.

"Spokane Sports is looking forward to the return of the Big Sky Conference to our city," Spokane Sports CEO Ashley Blake said in the release. "Having maintained a strong relationship over the years, we are eager to host athletes, coaches, and officials who will participate in the upcoming Indoor Track & Field Championships."

The meet will be held from February 22-24 at The Podium. Eastern captured six individual medals in this year’s Big Sky championships, hosted in Moscow, Idaho.
