Frank M. Gleason

| October 25, 2022 1:28 PM

Frank M. Gleason, 75, was born in Ellensburg, Washington, May 2, 1947, to Earl and Hazel (Blinston) Gleason. After a long battle with IPF (lung disease), he passed away at home on October 9, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Frank attended Kittitas High School where he graduated in 1965. He signed up for the draft and enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas from 1966 to 1968. He later moved to Moses Lake in 1977 where he worked for Boeing, Basic American, Busby, Lamb Weston and he did heating and air conditioning on his own time. Most recently he worked for Western Polymer where he retired in 2017, working maintenance.

He enjoyed music and was a member of the Columbia Basin Hamm Radio Club.

Frank married the love of his life in 2000 and gained a whole tribe. “Poppie” – as we all called him – had a special place in his strong heart for his kids and grandchildren. He enjoyed the time he spent with each one over the years.

Frank is survived by his wife, Gail, and children, Michelle (Greg), Dani, Janis (Jim), Casey, and J.R. (Samantha); his grandchildren, Dale DeVries, Timothy Allison, Bradley Allison, Shandra Morton, Shayla Morton, Shaun Blades, Shane Doney, Brayden Morton and Nathaniel Gleason. He had three great-grandkids, Carson, Kaleb, and Koda DeVries.

Frank had two brothers, Gerald (Myrna) Gleason and was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Gleason. He also had numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be Friday, October 28, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories. Internment to follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens, Moses Lake, Washington.

A special thanks to Hospice and to Ronda Vance, who held a special place in caring for our Poppie. “Help me, Ronda” he would sing to her.
