Birds of a feather
An egret (foreground) and a great blue heron wander around the grounds of Basic American Foods on Friday just south of Moses Lake. According to allaboutbirds.org, the great blue heron - or Ardea herodias - inhabits marshes and stalks fish to feed itself, though it does nest in trees. Great egrets, such as the one shown here, follow the same pattern of feeding and nesting.
