Forecasters issue flood watch for Columbia River
The Columbia River, south of Grant County along the Oregon-Washington border is running higher than usual this year due to unexpectedly wet weather and increased snow melt.

VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — Unusually heavy rain and a melting snowpack have pushed the Columbia River to near flood stage from Vancouver to Longview, according to the National Weather Service.
