MOSES LAKE — The Grant County Health District reported late Friday that a Moses Lake man in his 80s died from COVID-19-related causes, bringing to 21 the total number of deaths countywide from the disease since March.

According to a health district news release, the man — whose name was not announced — had “underlying conditions” that put him at severe risk of COVID-19.

In the statement, the district encouraged all county residents to wear face masks or coverings in public and to limit the size of gatherings to protect the county’s most vulnerable residents, especially those with chronic medical conditions.
