| May 13, 2020 10:12 PM

January 27, 1961 – May 7, 2020

On May 7, 2020, Joetta Ortiz, 59, went into the loving arms of the Lord surrounded by her husband, her three daughters and her two grandchildren. Joetta was born on Jan. 27, 1961 to Marion Hutchcroft and Helen Heicksen in Wenatchee, Washington. She was the youngest of five children.

She married Ino Ortiz on Oct. 12, 1978 in Ephrata, Washington. They lived in Moses Lake, Washington, for their first year of marriage, then they moved to Warden, Washington, where they raised their three daughters Monica Isensee (Vince), Heather Klitzke (Robert) and Jennifer Hone (CJ).

She was always a hard worker, working long hours to help support her family. After her daughters graduated high school, they moved back to Moses Lake where she continued working as a lab technician at Joyson (Takata). She worked there for over 20 years and found joy in the coworkers she got to work beside. She made some very close friends while working there that she truly loved and spoke highly of. She was someone who became good friends with everyone she came in contact with. She will be missed by many for her contagious smile and her compassion.

Some of her most joyous moments were camping with her husband and two pugs, boating with her family soaking up the sun, or just sitting on her patio in the backyard listening to music. When the sun was not out, she absolutely loved her Seahawks. Every Sunday, you could find her watching football. The Sundays she wasn’t watching football all day, she was in Seattle at a Seahawks game.

Surviving her are her husband and children; grandchildren Makenna Klitzke and Cody Isensee; sister Connie Cooper (David); brother Jerry Hutchcroft (Donna); mother-in-law Idolina Ortiz, sisters-in-law Rafaela MacDonald (Doug), Irasema Elizalde (Joe) and Gracie Melby (Doug); brothers-in-law Joel Ortiz, Jorge Ortiz (Debbie) and Eli Ortiz (Joy), her pug Shamika and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Helen Hutchcroft, father Marion Hutchcroft, brother Don Hutchcroft, brother Kevin Hutchcroft, father-in-law Inocencio Ortiz Jr., sister-in-law Glenda Ortiz and pug Shatzi.
