MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake senior Logan Sperline announced his decision to continue his athletic and academic career next year at the University of Redlands. Sperline will play football for the Bulldogs in Redlands, California.
Sperline played four years for Moses Lake High School. In a message announcing his commitment on Twitter, Sperline thanked his parents for their support along the way as well as his future coaching staff for the opportunity.
“They (his parents) have always shown love and support through the ups and downs,” Sperline posted. “I also want to thank my recruiting coach Jim Vert for also being there for me through the whole process.”
The Moses Lake senior threw for five touchdowns and 272 yards in 2019 before making the switch to wide receiver.
The University of Redlands finished the 2019 season with a 9-2 record, losing its first game of the NCAA Championships to Mary Hardin-Baylor.
In addition to Sperline’s commitment, former Moses Lake High School kicker Spencer Skeesick will be moving on from North Dakota State College of Science to continue his playing career at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
The Hardrockers finished 2019 with a 3-8 record.
Skeesick finished his time with the Wildcats after two seasons, making 11 of 25 field goal attempts. Skeesick also finished with an 82 percent clip on extra-point attempts, being named MCAC Special Teams Player of the Week four times.
