Some eligible for help with bills

MOSES LAKE — Residents of Grant and Adams counties whose incomes have been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak may be eligible for assistance from OIC of Washington with rent and energy bills.

Qualifying individuals and families may be eligible for up to $1,000 of assistance, according to OIC. The money would be paid directly to a landlord or energy company.

Applicants will be required to provide proof of income for all residents of the home for the previous three months, proof of residence, Social Security and ID cards for all residents and a copy of the current energy bill.
