Graduation season begins in Basin

GRANT COUNTY — Graduation season in the Columbia Basin starts this weekend.

Three schools usher off the Class of 2020 on Friday with another ceremony set for Saturday.

Moses Lake, Ephrata and Royal high schools will hold ceremonies on Friday. Moses Lake High School will hold a parade through town, beginning at Grant County Fairgrounds and ending at six designated sites: Columbia Basin Technical Skills Center, Moses Lake High School, Chief Moses Middle School, Peninsula Elementary, Lions Field and the Aquatic Center.

Ephrata’s parade begins at 5 p.m.; Royal will hold a parade at 6:15 p.m. with an adjusted graduation ceremony from 7-9 p.m. and a fireworks display after.

Quincy will hold a parade and ceremony from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday.
