| April 14, 2020 11:04 PM

MOSES LAKE — As residents were largely confined to their homes due to the coronavirus pandemic, calls to police in Moses Lake declined by 6 percent in March as compared with March 2019, according to Cpt. Mike Williams.

Police were called 1,470 times in March 2019. Last month, they were called 1,382 times, according to Williams. While the call volume is an indicator of police activity, statistics weren’t immediately available by specific types of crime. However, Williams noted that the department has seen an uptick in “domestic-type” calls.
