THE CITY OF OTHELLO IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2020 TOURISM PROMOTION PROJECTS IN THE CITY Each year the City receives funds from lodging room tax imposed upon the hotels/motels within the City. These funds can be expended as established by State law (RCW 67.28.1815). To be considered for funding, your organization must meet one of the following criteria: Tourism marketing Marketing and operations of special events and festivals Operations of tourism-related facilities owned or operated by nonprofit organizations The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) will review each proposed application and the organization will be contacted if their application meets the qualifications. Notice of Determination of Non-Significance Zoning Update: The City of Othello issued a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) for the proposed adoption of ordinances amending the existing Zoning Code (OMC Title 17), Building & Construction Code (OMC Title 14), Zoning Map, and Land Use Designation Map. This proposal does not have any probable significant adverse environmental impacts. This decision was made after review of an environmental checklist and other information on file with the City. Comments on this DNS will be accepted until 5:00 PM on September 20 at City Hall, 500 E. Main Street, Othello.
