South county roundup: Royal baseball wins district championship
CONNELL — Royal scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Warden for the district championship 5-4.
Gage Christensen scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch. Warden struggled with pitch accuracy and fielding as all five of Royal’s runs were unearned.
Ryan Arredondo and Kaden Skone had two hits apiece for the Cougars. Royal’s Kevin Reyes pitched a complete game, scattering six hits.

SELAH — Othello fell to the consolation bracket of the CWAC district tournament after a loss to Selah 14-6.
The Huskies play Ellensburg in a loser out game May 15 in Selah.
