EPHRATA — Multiple shots were fired in Ephrata Sunday night during a drive-by near the 700 block of Second Avenue and F Street Southeast. No one was injured in the altercation and the Ephrata Police Department is investigating.

A call came into MACC dispatch operators around 11 p.m. Sunday night reporting that shots had been fired.

Subsequent police interviews indicate that the victim, who was shot at but not injured in the altercation, had been walking down the street in blue clothes when a car drove by with passengers wearing blue clothes. After words were exchanged by the two parties, the car exited the area briefly, then returned and occupants fired multiple shots at the man in blue.

Though the victim has not been forthcoming with law enforcement, police have learned that the vehicle in question was a maroon SUV. Police are hoping to learn more from a nearby video surveillance system they believe may have captured the vehicle on tape as it fled the scene.

Anyone with more information is encouraged to contact the EPD at 509-754-2491.
