WARDEN — Warden will be holding their annual Community Days celebration on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2. The celebration is put on by the Warden Lions Club.

As part of the celebration, there will be a parade, a run and vendors. The parade begins at 11 a.m. Registration for the parade is from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Community Center.

“After the parade, everybody goes to the park,” said Kendra McMurrian, secretary/treasurer for the Warden Lions Club and one of the organizers. “There are vendors and a volleyball tournament. We have a live DJ that’s there at the park.”

There will be several different types of food available as well. The Lions Club will have their annual pulled pork sandwiches, while other vendors will have food, such as tacos and ice cream, available. There will also be a one-mile and 5K run on Saturday. Entry is $15. Registration can be done online at www.runsignup.com/Race/WA/Warden/WardenCommunityDays1Mile5K or at Warden City Hall. The run will start at Warden Elementary School, 101 W. Beck Way, in Warden.

Vendor registration will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 30. The cost is $50 per spot; $10 for non-profits. To register, call McMurrian at 509-460-0676 or go to city hall.
