MOSES LAKE — Police are looking for a Moses Lake man who allegedly stole a wallet full of counterfeit money from a local gas station Sunday morning.

Upon investigation, Moses Lake police reportedly learned that the suspect reached through an open window at the closed business and grabbed a wallet off the counter. However, the wallet only contained counterfeit money, used for training employees, according to police.

A witness to the theft reportedly chased down the suspect and recovered the wallet, but not before the suspect had already removed the counterfeit money from the wallet.

Police are looking for help in identifying this burglar and ask anyone with information to call 509-762-1160 and ask to speak with an officer in reference to case number 19ML11129.
