July 4, 1944 – January 1, 2017

Sherry Elaine Robnett Ohland, 72, longtime Moses Lake resident passed away on January 1, 2017.

Sherry was born on July 4, 1944 in West Helena, Arkansas to Hazel and Perry Robnett. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kyle Robnett and mother, Hazel Marie Gerber. She is survived by Bill Ohland, her husband of 48 years; daughter and family Tana, Doug, D.J. and Darby Boole; son and family Curt, Debbie, Austin, Carson and Delaney Ohland and daughter, Dusti Ohland.

Sherry moved with her family to Moses Lake in 1955 from Dallas, Texas. She attended elementary and junior high school in Moses Lake and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1962. Sherry married Bill Ohland of Moses Lake in 1968. Sherry and Bill owned and operated the Towne Shop, a ladies’ apparel store in Moses Lake, for 16 years. When they sold the store in 1987, they went on to create a new business, Teddy Bear Car Care, and Sherry was employed by the Hearthstone Retirement Inn and the Washington State Potato Commission.

Sherry loved decorating her home, manicuring her yard, gardening, music, dancing, cooking, and traveling. Throughout the years, family, friends and acquaintances agreed she rivaled Martha Stewart when it came to entertaining. Sherry devoted much of her life to her kids and their many activities growing up. She took great pride in their accomplishments, as well as those of her five grandkids.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory.
