February 5, 1943 – January 12, 2016

Karla Ann Eash (Rasmussen) beheld the eyes of her Savior January 12, 2016 at the age of 72. She was born on February 5, 1943, in Madison, Wisc., to parents Ivan and Myrtle Rasmussen. She was the youngest of ten children. Karla spent her childhood in Lake Worth, Fla., graduating from high school in 1961. She married Paul Wolcott and traveled the world with him during his service in the military. She and her family settled in Moses Lake, Wash. in 1977. In 1982 she married Robert Eash. Karla retired from the Moses Lake School District. She devoted herself, wholly, to her church and family. The countless hours she spent volunteering were greatly appreciated by Crossroads, Hospice, Moses Lake Alliance Church, and several other charities where she had the chance to touch so many lives in her community. Crossroads presented her with their “Volunteer of the Year” award, where she gave forty hours a week regularly.

She loved spending time with her family, being the mother of four, the grandmother of 15, and the great-grandmother of nine. Karla traveled thousands of miles to visit family all over the United States. In the time she spent at home, anybody could find her working in her yard. Karla is survived by her children Apryl (Doug) Webster of Kansas, Paul (Charlotte) Wolcott of Alabama, Maureen (Brad) Drinville of Montana and Patty (Brett) Huber of Alabama; grandchildren Chrissy (Mike) Holme, Jen (Ernie) Schmidt, Nik Webster, Kenneth, Karla, Amanda and Samantha Wolcott, Melissa, Jaron, and Trevor Drinville, Caleb, Kate, Elliya, Phin, and Ezra Huber, and nine great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents two brothers and four sisters, and survived by two brothers, Neil and Roger Rasmussen, one sister, Mickey Parisi and many nieces and nephews. Two nephews that were very special to her were Tony (Teresa) Ingram and Ivan Rasmussen.

Karla was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She will always be remembered for her faithful love of the Lord. She has left a great legacy of her faithfulness and loving others for Christ her Savior. She stood in the gap for her family. Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 21 at Kayser’s Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 21 at the Moses Lake Alliance Church, 1100 N. Grape Drive. Memorials can be sent to Crossroads Pregnancy Resource Center of Moses Lake. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory.
