November 25, 1944 – January 3, 2016

Stephen Gene Richards, Senior Chief (Ret.), United States Navy, born to Eugene and Leona (Gustafson) Richards in Kirkland, Wash. on Nov. 25, 1944 passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gloria (Self) Richards; their five children Angela Bolden (Larry), Robert Richards (Judith), Gregory Richards (Ashleigh), Ursula Honigman (Brian), Kevin Richards (Sara) and 19 beloved grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his two brothers David Richards (Judy) and Thomas Richards (Elizabeth); his twin sister, Sharon Kran; nine sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stephen leaves behind a legacy of faith in Christ, love of family, friends, country and nature.

Rosary will be held Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at 6 p.m. at Holy Spirit in Kennewick. A Catholic Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Spirit in Kennewick, on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at 1 p.m.
