Courts ready for cellphone ticket refunds

WASHINGTON — People entitled to a refund of cellphone-related driving infractions are to contact the court that issued the ticket after next week.

WASHINGTON — People entitled to a refund of cellphone-related driving infractions are to contact the court that issued the ticket after next week.

The Washington State Department of Licensing advised their offices are working to contact all courts in the state to show them how to provide refunds for infractions related to driving while talking on a cellphone. They plan to have all court systems instructed by the end of today.

The refund on the tickets applies to drivers issued the citations up until July 1, the DOL reports.
