Beverly Kay Gibson

Beverly Kay Gibson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister died early Sunday morning, April 2, 2006 at home with her family around her.

Kay was born March 21, 1936, in Kansas City, Mo., to Marcus and Margaret Richardson, now deceased, who formerly resided in Moses Lake. She married Greene "Hoot" Gibson Jr. in 1954. They have resided in Moses Lake for 30 years. She attended church at Moses Lake Alliance Church.

She is survived by her husband, Greene, and two daughters, Donna Byrd and her husband Mike of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Debbie Penrod and her husband Philip, of O'Fallon, Ill. She has six grandchildren, Jeremy Byrd (wife Haley), Christy Monroe (husband Aaron), Andrew Penrod, Brandon Byrd, Luke Penrod and Joshua Byrd, and four great-grandchildren, Abigail and Benjamin Byrd and Rayne and Avery Monroe. She is also survived by a brother, Marcus Richardson of Richville, Minn. and Sue Shores of Wellsville, Kan.

There will be a viewing at Benson Family Funeral Chapel, 14403 Road 2 NE, on Tuesday, April 4, from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Moses Lake Alliance Church, 1100 N. Grape Drive at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5.

We were blessed to have been a part of Kay's life and loved by her. Cancer took her away from us, but she is no longer in pain and is with her Lord and Savior. We will miss you!
