Donnie R. Stephens passed away Jan. 13, 2019 in Ephrata, Washington. He was 87 years old.

Donnie was born on Aug. 16, 1931 in Tunica, Louisiana to his parents Bryan and Rosa Stephens. He was married to Corinne (Hazlip) Stephens for 53 wonderful and loving years where most of that was spent in Baker, Louisiana. Donnie served six years in the United States Army, being honorably discharged. He then became an officer for the Baton Rouge Police Department, serving for 32 years, retiring as a sergeant in 1982.

Donnie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed watching sports and his favorite teams were the LSU Tigers, the New Orleans Saints and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his son Wesley (Janice) Stephens of Ephrata, Washington; his grandchildren Patrick (Lacy) Stephens, Rosa (Darnell) Walton, Katie (Samuel) Martinez, all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and his great-grandchildren Campbell and Samuel. He was proceeded in death by his wife Corinne (Hazlip) Stephens, his father and mother Bryan and Rosa Stephens, a sister Mayola Cannon and three brothers Bryan Stephens Jr., Tracy Stephens and Jack Stephens.
