VIRUS OUTBREAK-BLACK BUSINESSES: The COVID-19 pandemic has not only disproportionately impacted African Africans, infecting and killing them at high rates, but black Americans are also experiencing the economic brunt of the pandemic. Black businesses historically have struggled to gain access to capital and bank lending, which experts say can largely be attributed to racism and a lack of a defined relationship with big banks.
