Coronavirus: One new case reported Sunday, ending four-day streak without new cases

GRANT COUNTY - One new case of the novel coronavirus was reported Sunday, ending a four-day streak without any newly reported cases, according to the Grant County Health District. The new case is a Moses Lake man between the ages of 41 and 60, according to information provided by the health district. In total, there were 188 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Grant County as of Sunday evening.

There were also 36 probable cases and 108 tests still pending results as of Sunday. Ninety-two people had recovered enough to no longer be placed under quarantine, the health district reported Friday.

Three people sickened with the novel coronavirus are currently hospitalized.

As of Sunday evening, the Quincy area had 70 confirmed cases. Moses Lake reported 37, and the Mattawa had 43 confirmed cases respectively as of Sunday evening.

Ephrata reported 16 confirmed cases and Royal City had 12. Warden and Soap Lake each reported four, and the Grant County portion of the Othello area had a single case. The Grand Coulee/Electric City has two confirmed cases.

The Coulee City area has not had a confirmed case from their communities, according to the health district.

In addition to tests that have come back positive, 2,191 have come back negative.
