Ruben Andrew Ramirez

| May 15, 2020 12:06 AM

May 21, 1960 – May 8, 2020

On May 8, surrounded by love, in the comfort of his bed, Ruben Andrew Ramirez, 59, joined his Father and family in Heaven. Ruben was born May 21, 1960 to longtime Moses Lake residents Rodolfo C. and Lucy G. Ramirez.

In his early years, often times a rascal, Ruben kept his parents and siblings on their toes. He will always be remembered for making his brothers’ and sisters’ childhood exciting, while at the same time increasing his parents’ gray hairs.

His siblings look back fondly on their memories of the simple things, from teaching them how to tell time to learning to drive manual. Ruben made everything an adventure.

Ruben loved the country; one of his favorite things to do was enjoy a nice long drive through the countryside. The open road provided Ruben a feeling of freedom and excitement.

Most recently Ruben could be found enjoying the view from his porch, accompanied by his two furry friends, cat Dockside and unconditionally loving pup Lucy. Specific names, Ruben chose these two as reminders of experiences and people who meant the most to him. Dockside was named after a special location where Ruben met the love of his life, Monique. Faithful companion Lucy was named after his dear mother who loved Ruben unconditionally and taught him to have faith in God.

Ruben is preceded in death by his parents Rodolfo C. and Lucy G. Ramirez and brothers Rudy Jr. and Christopher Ramirez as well as niece Adriana Alfaro. He is survived by Monique Guilland, beloved companion, and siblings Trina Alfaro (Luis), Mary Moncada (Jerry Sr.), Gloria Valdez, (Mike) Pat Ramirez, Chris Koon (Randy Sr.) and Richard Ramirez (Robyn) as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

Due to COVID-19, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date. Interment will be celebrated privately with family at Guarding Angels Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel and Crematory. You may sign the guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com.
