One arrested after reports of shots fired

MOSES LAKE - Officers responded to a report of shots fired near Knolls Vista School in Moses Lake on Saturday shortly before 7 p.m. Moses Lake Police Captain Mike Williams said officers spotted a Toyota passenger car matching the description from the initial report. Officers stopped the vehicle on Pioneer Way in Moses Lake at 6:50 p.m., Williams said. One suspect was taken into custody, a juvenile.

Officers remained on the scene with the vehicle Saturday night, waiting for it to be impounded.

The suspect in custody had flare cartridges in his possession, according to police. Williams said the initial report had been that another vehicle had been shot at.
