Letter: No need to buy toilet paper in a panic

| March 18, 2020 11:49 PM

Whenever a crisis of magnitude occurs to a large group of us Homo sapiens, we quickly seem to agree to collectively “dumb down” in a response to it. This past week the mindless rush for “terlit paper,” as Archie Bunker called it, became first and foremost in our mindsets to offset our anxieties about our common predicament.

OMG, toilet paper to the rescue!

If citizens had instead listened to the fact-talkers (science, anyone?), then all the people in the land would have toilet paper, instead of the few.

To paraphrase, the problem, Horatio, isn’t in our gastrointestinal tracts, it’s in our respiratory systems (lungs).

Come on, people, we’re smarter than this (I hope).
