Grant PUD closes campgrounds

| March 17, 2020 11:55 PM

GRANT COUNTY — All five of Grant PUD’s campsites in Grant County are closed until further notice as a precaution against the threat of COVID-19, Grant PUD said in a press release.

Grant PUD provides recreation areas along the Columbia River, five of which offer overnight camping: Crescent Bar, Rocky Coulee, Sand Hollow, Priest Rapids Recreation Area and the Jackson Creek Fish Camp.

Online reservations made between now and April 27 will be credited for future bookings or fully refunded; any bookings made for after April 27 will also be canceled if the campgrounds remain closed.

For now, campsite reservations beyond April 27 will be temporarily limited to the Crescent Bar Campground; no fees will be charged until the campground reopens.

Day-use and boat launch access at the PUD’s recreation areas will remain open. The Crescent Bar golf course will operate on a self-pay system. No golf carts or golf clubs will be available to rent.
