Coronavirus: 22 new cases

MOSES LAKE — There were 22 confirmed cases of the coronavirus reported in Grant County on Thursday, including six new cases in the Quincy area, four each in Ephrata and Moses Lake, three in Warden, two in the Mattawa area, and one each in the Wilson Creek area, rural Grant County near Othello, and Royal City, according to Grant County Health District.

The total of confirmed cases in the county since the pandemic began rose to 1,223. According to state officials, 77 local residents with the virus have been hospitalized since the pandemic began, while county health officials reported Thursday that nine people are currently hospitalized.

In the hardest-hit areas of the county, there have been 349 cases confirmed in Moses Lake, 285 in the Quincy area, and 280 in the Mattawa area.
