Laura May Forsha

June 18, 1943 – May 12, 2020

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our Mom, Laura May Forsha. Born in Sunnyside, Washington, to Leo and Lorraine Forsha on June 18, 1943, Laura passed away May 12, 2020.

She married Charles Dougherty in 1965 and had two children, Chuck Dougherty, 52, of Moses Lake, and Sue Murri, 53, of Yakima. After about 22 years Charles and Laura divorced and then she married Walt Buechler. Mom and Walt were married in Ferndale and were together about 25 years until Walt passed away in 2012. Walt and Mom were inseparable and had a love people only dream of.

Laura is preceded in death by her brother Frank Forsha and her parents. She leaves behind a brother, Gordan Forsha (wife Connie), and sisters Linda Maine, Loretta Johnson, Laurie Ann Morrow, Bertha Curnutte and Sandi Terrell. Laura also leaves several grandchildren, one great-grandson, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Laura loved the Lord and her church. She also loved her animals, most recently her Mini Pom, Penny. Mom will be missed greatly by all, but we take comfort by knowing she is now at peace with Jesus.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 15 at Bread of Life Church, 140 14th Ave. NW, Ephrata, Washington. Fellowship will follow services.
