November 25, 1943 – July 7, 2020

Our dear husband, father and papa, Verner Delano Sheldrew Friswold (Vince), was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 7, 2020, in Spokane, at the age of 76. Our hearts will miss him so very much, but we know that we will see him again when we join him in our eternal home.

Vince was born to Oscar and Jennie Kranovich Friswold on Nov. 25, 1943, in Anacortes, Washington. He was raised in Ely, Nevada before moving to Moses Lake in the sixth grade. He served his country honorably in the United States Army as a Special Forces Green Beret paratrooper.

Vince met his beautiful wife, Vicki Ann Noonan, in Moses Lake, Washington. They married on Sept. 7, 1969, and celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Vince and Vicki had many fun times throughout life: lovingly raising three beautiful children, volunteering at the Elks Club and owning and operating D&F Drilling in Moses Lake, Washington, He enjoyed many family camping trips to Conconully, riding horses and working around his property. His greatest joy was his family, and he made sure they knew that they were his whole world.

Vince will be remembered as a generous and caring man. He had a strong presence and his desire was to lead others to the Lord. He spent many years as a chaplain, sharing the Lord with those who were hurting. He was a devoted and hardworking husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who, more than anything, loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and working on projects.

Vince is survived by his loving wife Vicki; his daughter Ericka Rice and husband Aaron of Pasco, Washington; his daughter Shannon Mosley and husband Dave of Pasco, Washington; his daughter Erin and husband Gary of Moses Lake, Washington; his special grandchildren Jake, Ryan, Kristin, Hunter, Dylan, Dawson, AJ, Kaeden and Shelaine; his precious great-grandson Easton and many special friends. Vince was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Ida Friswold.

Vince will be greatly missed, his legacy will remain rich in our hearts for years to come. A celebration of life for friends and family will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15 at Generations Assemblies of God, 431 E. Brown Ave., Moses Lake, Washington. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required.
