Lawrence Edward Burton

Lawrence Edward Burton, USN Ret. (Ozzie), from Moses Lake, Washington, passed away on the Fourth of July 2020. Larry was 90 years old. He was the son of Robert and Zadie Burton of Moses Lake.

Larry was married to the love of his life, Jean Catherine Burton.

Larry graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1948, then joined the Navy were he proudly served until his retirement in 1968. Larry was a veteran of the Korean war.

After retiring he worked for the Moses Lake Cablevision and owned Burton Home Improvements.

Larry belonged to the VFW, American Legion, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Knights of Columbus, and Sandy Sams.

Larry is survived by his children James Burton (Maria) of Ephrata, Washington, Stephen Burton (Evelyn) of Moses Lake Washington, Robert Burton (Theresa) of Moses Lake, Washington, and Patricia Bernard of Moses Lake, Washington.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife Jean Burton, brother Darrel Burton and son-in-law Danny Bernard.

Larry also has 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Larry loved camping, fishing, going dancing and playing golf.

Most of all he loved his family.

There will be no service held per Larry’s request.
