Janet Lea Wood, 69, a longtime resident of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away on Jan. 17, 2020, in Wenatchee, Washington, from a longtime illness she was suffering from for many years. She was surrounded by her family who loved her so much.

She was born on Nov. 30, 1950 in Lebanon, New Hampshire, to Alfred and Barbara Bashaw.

She moved to Moses Lake where she met her husband and started her family. She loved going to the casino and gambling; she also loved traveling to the Oregon coast. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed very much. She worked at Simplot, where she retired from after 40 years.

She is survived by Rick Wood, her loving husband of 40 years; daughter Dawn Wood; son Jeremy Wood of Moses Lake; grandkids Manuel, Sophia and Isaiah; sisters Dodi Mendenhall, Cathy Henry, Patty Walker; brother Joe Bashaw and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Barbara Bashaw and her sisters Bettie Bashaw and Billie Callahan.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N. Dale Rd., Moses Lake on Saturday, March 7 starting at 11 a.m.
