The unaccountable ones

| February 19, 2020 11:43 PM

I recently read a tweet that made perfect sense. It pointed out that if Roger Stone was indicted for lying to Congress, what about the lying done by Comey, Brennan, Clapper and many others? What about Hillary to the FBI and her 33,000 deleted texts and Weiner’s laptop?

How many times have we heard Nancy Pelosi, Charles Schumer, Jerry Nadler, Elizabeth Warren and others – with a cold, steely look in their eyes – say in an Academy Award-winning dramatic voice “no one is above the law!” While making the remark the perfect addition to their dramatic performance would be ear-piercing thunder commencing while they stretched their arms out rigidly screaming “No one is above the law” over and over, lightning striking from their fingernails (as they grew into flaming claws). The perfect finale? A booming bass voice from the heavens responding “I have heard your cry, and you are right! No one is above the law! Prepare to receive your just reward!”

When will Pelosi, Schumer, Nadler and wild-eyed Warren – as the cameras start rolling – begin expressing the same fervor regarding the law being applied to Comey, Brennan, Clapper and others, such as those who ignore our law and force their way into our country illegally? If we say nothing and just down another anti-depressant, these heavily protected con artists will continue to bully and deride those they refuse to tolerate (while preaching tolerance).

One day my friend Hal had an “aha moment” and asked “Do these people really believe that everyone should be accountable to the law?” The only answer I could give him was an Academy Award-winning “Hal, no!”
