Letter: America deserves honest government

Today I’m writing to expose this unfair and unjust impeachment trial. The jurors have made it public knowledge that they have already made their verdict and not-guilty decision. These same jurors have made this not-guilty verdict based on fear of losing their jobs and seats.

In America, facts and truth don’t seem to matter anymore. As a nation we owe our children and future a better example than top settle for anything less than truth. The Republican Party used to be the party of value and truth. Now they work every day under fear of our president, but I will never work for a boss where I have to suppress my value and truth. We’ve got to get back to governing in truth and honesty.

As an independent, I don’t have a dog in the fight, but I would love to see America return to what it used to be, by respecting one another and telling each other the truth. We are all better than the corruption and lies that separate us, and it’s my hope we soon find a way to come together.
