Letter: Follow the COVID-19 rules to stay alive

| April 29, 2020 11:19 PM

Lately people have been protesting in Grant County and in other states and cities. Our governors are trying to keep the people safe. This virus is no joke. People are dying, dropping like flies. This virus mutates and until there is a vaccine many will get sick and some will die. Our lives will not be the same as we know it. But those who don’t want to follow orders and city officials who want to open public places are risking the people’s lives, all because of money. Will the states and city council members be held responsible for more deaths because so far there are only two options for those who have been affected by this virus: either recover or die. The governor should have some kind of document so that police officers can have people who are out fishing, boating or otherwise not following the rules sign. The names of those who fall ill on their own should be sent to hospitals so they can help the ones who followed orders. This way the people that wish to be out can’t put blame on the governor for opening the economy. American people, ask yourselves: Do you feel lucky?
