SNOQUALMIE PASS — A Moses Lake woman was sent to the hospital Sunday night for injuries stemming from a collision caused by traveling too fast for conditions, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Betzary Fernandez-Gonzalez, 21, was cited for operating the vehicle without a valid license. She was the only person injured in the incident.
Fernandez-Gonzalez was headed eastbound on I-90 near milepost 54 in Kittitas County and was traveling at speeds too fast for the rainy conditions, according to state troopers. The vehicle failed to negotiate a curve to the left, then left the roadway to the right, where she struck a concrete barrier. The vehicle reportedly spun out and came to rest facing oncoming traffic.
