EPHRATA — Grant County PUD commissioners have approved a raise for general manager Kevin Nordt and chief legal counsel Mitch Delabarre. Commissioners voted on the salary increases at the regular meeting Tuesday.

Both Nordt and Delabarre received three percent raises and a one-time award of additional vacation time.

Nordt will make $300,789, an increase of $8,757 from his previous salary. He’ll also get 15 days of vacation, one time only. Delabarre’s salary will be $267,530, and he’ll get a one-time-only addition of 10 days vacation.

The vote was 5-0, and the motion passed without discussion.

The general manager and general counsel are hired by the commission, and salaries are negotiated separately from the PUD’s salary schedule.

Nordt was hired as general manager in 2016, and was given a three-year contract in January. Previous contracts had been year-to-year.
