Graduation season begins May 31 in the Basin

MOSES LAKE — It’s the theme of thousands of graduation speeches – one (metaphorical) door closes for the class of 2019 over the next two weekends. Graduation ceremonies are scheduled at Columbia Basin schools May 31 and June 1, and June 7 and 8.

Royal High School leads off graduation season with the ceremony at 7 p.m. May 31 at David Nielsen Memorial Field, the high school football field. The high school is located at 955 Ahlers Rd. Othello High School graduation is set for 7:30 p.m. May 31 at Huskie Field, directly behind the high school, 340 S. Seventh Ave.

Moses Lake High School graduation will be at 10 a.m. June 1 at Lions Field, adjacent to Frontier Middle School, 517 W. Third Ave.

Wahluke High School graduation is scheduled for 1 p.m. June 1 at the high school gym, 505 N. Boundary Rd. Soap Lake seniors will graduate at 2 p.m. June 1 at the high school gym, 527 SW Second Ave.

Three schools have scheduled graduation ceremonies at 7 p.m. June 7. The ceremony for Quincy High School seniors will be at Jaycee Stadium, across the street from Quincy High School, 16 SE Sixth Ave. Ephrata High School graduation ceremonies are held at Kiwanis Field, behind the high school, 333 NW Fourth Ave. The graduation ceremony for the Warden High School class of 2019 will be in the WHS gym, 101 Beck Way.
