Mt. Spokane 34, Moses Lake 13

MEAD — Moses Lake trailed 28-0 at halftime and fell to Mt. Spokane 34-13.

The fourth-ranked Wildcats’ Kannon Katzer broke touchdown runs of 53, 24 and 31 yards, and also caught a 15-yard touchdown.

Moses Lake found some success offensively in the second half as Kayton Carmack caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Logan Sperline and Everett Ashley found Carter Visker for an 81-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Lerenz Thomas caught 6 balls for 56 yards in addition to 21 yards rushing.

Cascade 10, Ephrata 7

EPHRATA — Mac Laird churned out 63 yards on the ground, but it wasn’t enough as Ephrata lost to Cascade in its home opener 10-7.

The Kodiaks held a 3-0 lead through most of the game until both teams exchanged touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

Laird added one completion for 47 yards and 5 tackles on defense.

Quincy 35, Brewster 25

QUINCY ­— Quincy led Brewster 21-12 after three quarters and won 35-25.

No other details were reported by press time.

Wahluke 28, Granger 25

GRANGER — Wahluke rallied from a 19-0 halftime deficit to beat Granger 28-25.

The Warriors started their comeback by outscoring Granger 20-0 in the third quarter.

Jose Celaya scored a 6-yard touchdown; Oscar Rodriguez added a 55-yard touchdown pass to Johnny Miron and an 8-yard keeper to give Wahluke the lead entering the final period.

Granger regained the lead in the fourth, 25-20, before Rodriguez found Luke Yorgesen for the 66-yard go-ahead touchdown. Rodriguez finished with 287 yards passing with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Miron and Yorgesen caught 12 of Rodriguez’s 13 completions for 155 and 129 yards, respectively.

Chelan 49, Warden 20

CHELAN — Warden allowed 21 points in the fourth quarter and lost to Chelan 49-20.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 36, Northwest Christian 6

RITZVILLE — Austin Thompson scored three touchdowns and Lind-Ritzville/Sprague routed Northwest Christian 36-6.

The Broncos led 27-0 at halftime and scored 36 unanswered points. Thompson scored on a 1-yard plunge, a 68-yard punt return and a 35-yard pass from Drew Kelly on his way to 165 all-purpose yards.

Kelly added a 6-yard touchdown pass to Spencer Gering and an 18-yard rushing touchdown in the first half.

Soap Lake 46, Touchet 0

TOUCHET — Soap Lake led 40-0 at halftime and cruised to a win against Touchet 46-0.

Quarterback Deezy Bentley had 227 total yards — 117 on the ground and 110 through the air — with two touchdowns.

The Eagle defense got in on the action with a Landon Ribail scoop-and-score and another fumble recovered in the endzone by Hunter Anderson. A Bentley interception return to the Touchet 5 yard line also set up a short touchdown run by Byron Dowers.

Dowers added two more rushing touchdowns with 210 yards.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 62, Tacoma Baptist 14

SEATTLE — Almira/Coulee-Hartline enacted the running clock in the first quarter and beat Tacoma Baptist 62-14.

Brayton Schafer scored three rushing touchdowns. Tacoma Baptist did not score until the fourth quarter.
