OTHELLO — The Red Raiders kept the bats rolling after an early start to pick up the big win against Prosser, 13-3, in five innings.

The Othello squad knocked in five runs in the bottom of the first to pick up a strong lead early.

Prosser responded with a run to get on the board in the second before Othello built on their lead with two more runs. Three more runs in the third made it a nine-run lead for the Red Raiders. Outscoring Prosser 3-2 over the final two frames kept the visitors at bay on the way to Othello’s 10th win of the year.

Othello was able to win in a not so dramatic walk-off when Trey Garza hit an RBI single in the fifth inning to enact the 10-run rule and end the game. After completing his four-hit day with a single to center field to start the inning, Sebastian Munoz came around to score the winning run.

Muñoz led the way for the Red Raiders from the plate, going 4-4 on the day, with two runs scored and five RBIs.

Munoz kickstarted the strong offensive output with an RBI single in the first inning to score Jaxon Rocha.

Rocha went 2-2 as well, scoring two runs with a pair of RBIs. Concepcion Sauceda went 2-3 with a run and an RBI for the Red Raiders as well.

Othello finished with 11 hits as a team for 13 runs, with just one error on the day. Prosser knocked six hits for three runs and two errors.

Rocha pitched the entire game for Othello as well, tossing five innings, allowing six hits and three runs with two strikeouts.

Othello returns to the diamond today, 4 p.m., against East Valley of Yakima at home.
