BEFORE THE HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON In the matter of the Application of NOTICE OF HEARING ON Friehe Farms APPLICATION FOR A COUNTY ROAD FRANCHISE for a franchise to construct, operate and maintain an irrigation water line on certain County Road Rights-of-Way within the County of Grant, State of Washington, for the purpose of irrigating 600 acres. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Friehe Farms, has filed with the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, an application for a franchise for a period of fifty (50) years to construct, operate and maintain a water pipeline across certain County roads in Grant County, Washington lying within the following described portion of the County, to-wit: Along the east side of Road T, between Road 2 to Road 3 located within S 21, T 19, R 21, EWM. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, has fixed the hearing on said application for the franchise for the 30th day of January, 2018 at the hour of 1:45 o'clock p.m. in the Board of County Commissioners' room in the Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata, Grant County, State of Washington, and any person may appear at this time and place to be heard for or against the granting or denying of said franchise or any part thereof. NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids, plainly marked "BID FOR 2018 Crushing and Stockpiling", will be received by Grant County at the Office of the Board of County Commissioners located in the County Courthouse, P.O. Box 37, 35 C Street NW - Room 206, Ephrata, WA, 98823, until 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, February 6, 2018 and will then and there, in the commissioners hearing room, be opened and publicly read for the construction of the improvements. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. No conditional bid bond will be accepted. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to Grant County. Maps, plans and specifications may be purchased from the office of the County Engineer, 124 Enterprise St. S.E., Ephrata, WA 98823, upon payment of the amount of $25.00 (non-refundable). Informational copies of the maps, plans and specifications are on file for inspection at the Grant County Public Works Building, 124 Enterprise St. S.E., Ephrata, WA 98823, and in various plan centers located in Washington. The Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The award of this contract, if made, will be to the lowest responsible bidder.
