Public Works Maintenance Position Public Works Maintenance Worker is part of a series schedule: MWI, MWII, MWIII Job Description: Equipment operation and manual labor in the maintenance, repair and construction of the City's facilities in all divisions of the Public Works Department; streets, water distribution, sewer collection, parks, cemetery. The position is 40 hours per week with occasional overtime required. A complete benefit package is included with compensation that is dependent upon experience. Position is part of a bargaining unit. Pay scale begins at $18.97 per hour. Equal opportunity employer. Experience/Education/Essential Duties: High School Diploma or GED. Experience working with light duty and heavy duty equipment preferred. Knowledge of maintenance, construction and repair methods, materials and procedures of water mainlines, hydrants, sewer mainlines, storm drains and equipment preferred. Grounds maintenance experience and the ability to work in adverse conditions. Must possess a valid Drivers License and a good driving record. CDL endorsement preferred.
