New season commences at Ephrata Raceway Park

EPHRATA - The racing season officially opened at Ephrata Raceway Park Saturday, April 30th  with blue skies, sun, cars and fans.  The Kim Janke State Farm Agent Youth Hornets, Schaeffer Oil Mini Stocks, 7-Up 360 Sprints and Jerry's Auto Supply Big Cars started off the season with great racing.  Mr Dizzy and son Wiley stopped by to give us a demonstration of what is to come of their event on July 2nd. 

The Kim Janke State Farm Agent Youth Hornets were off to a great start with rookie Andrew Razey of Moses Lake who took fast time (18:31), won the Les Schwab Trophy Dash, the heat race and the main event.                          Les Schwab Trophy Dash: (75)Andrew Razey, (4)Chase Mulalley, (89)Patrick  Hector

The Schaeffer Oil Mini Stocks started out with great car count and 2010 Youth Hornets and Pure Stocks racers moving up to add to the growing class.  Sid White started out the night with fast time(16:53).

The 7-Up 360 Sprints started the season with returning of many of last years drivers.  The Smith brothers Joe and Adam returned with Joe Smith taking fast time (13:10).

Racing May 7th: the  Annual Spud Cup along with our fund raiser for Relay for Life, "Race n' for a Cure".  Racing will be the West Coast Promoters Street Stock Series, Ephrata Pioneer Muffler II Pure Stocks, the Super Stocks and we will begin running our King Of The Hill!
