MOSES LAKE - A 32-year-old Moses Lake woman was cited for DUI early Saturday morning after she injured another woman on state Route 17 north of Moses Lake.

Yanet Ozuna Garcia, 32, was driving north on the highway around 3:30 a.m. when she allegedly struck a stationary vehicle four miles north of Moses Lake.

Celeste Beliz Applegate, also 32, and from Moses Lake, had parked her disabled vehicle on the highway's northbound shoulder.

According to Washington State Patrol trooper reports, Ozuna Garcia's 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser allegedly struck Beliz Applegate's stationary 1988 Toyota Camry.

The impact from spun the Cruiser to face north and pushed the Camry off the roadway, troopers said.

Ozuna Garcia was cited for DUI and negligent driving.

Beliz Applegate was transported to Samaritan Healthcare in Moses Lake for precautionary measures.

Officials at the hospital did not release her current status by press time.
