Ecology expands Washington state’s drought emergency
Much of the Evergreen State is considered to be in a drought according to the U.S. Drought Monitor website as well as the Washington Department of Ecology. The map above from the USDM indicates in white areas that are not considered to have drought, in yellow those with a mild drought in yellow and in beige the counties affected by a moderate drought.

(The Center Square) – On Thursday, the Washington State Department of Ecology expanded its drought emergency to include watersheds in Snohomish, King, Pierce, Lewis, Thurston, Okanagan, Chelan, Clallam, Jefferson and Ferry counties.
